Common questions.

Can I list my camera kit on my profile?
Yes. Your profile includes a kit section where you can detail your camera systems, lenses, and accessories. You can also list equipment for hire separately.
How do productions find camera operators?
They search the members map by department, location, and availability. Your profile shows your reel, kit, and experience, so they can assess your suitability before reaching out.
What does accreditation mean?
Accreditation is FILMD's way of recognising you've reached a professional standard. It's not just about credits: it assesses your capability, conduct, and standing. Accredited members carry the badge and stand out in search.
Is FILMD free?
Joining is free: your profile, the jobs board and replies to anyone who messages you cost nothing. FILMD Plus (£11.99 a month, or £119 a year) adds FILMD Accreditation, new conversations with any member and entry to FILMD Grants.
Can I message anyone on FILMD?
You can reply to anyone who messages you for free. Starting a new conversation with any member needs FILMD Plus. No mutual connections are needed either way.
