I have no set experience: can I still join?
Absolutely. FILMD is designed for people at every stage. Your profile shows your training, skills, and availability, not just past credits.
How will camera teams find me?
DoPs and operators search the members map for trainees by location. If you're listed in their area, you appear in their results.
Is there a cost?
Joining is free: your profile, the jobs board and replies to anyone who messages you cost nothing. FILMD Plus (£11.99 a month, or £119 a year) adds FILMD Accreditation, new conversations with any member and entry to FILMD Grants.
Can FILMD help me progress beyond trainee?
Yes. Your profile tracks every credit. As you gain experience, your profile reflects that growth, helping you move into AC and operator roles.
What is FILMD Accreditation?
An evidence-based, role-specific review of your experience, credits and training. Accredited members carry the FILMD badge on their profile and stand out in search. It's part of FILMD Plus.
