Yes. Your profile can showcase writing samples, loglines, and genre interests alongside any credits. Many collaborations on FILMD start with a conversation, not a CV.
Can I find directors looking for scripts?
Absolutely. You can search members by department and reach out directly with FILMD Plus.
Is FILMD only for film screenwriters?
No. FILMD serves writers working across film, television, short-form, and digital content. If you write for the screen, there's a place for you here.
How is this different from script submission platforms?
FILMD isn't a submissions portal: it's a professional network. You're not uploading scripts to be judged. You're connecting with filmmakers who want to work with you.
Does FILMD cost anything?
Joining is free: your profile, the jobs board and replies to anyone who messages you cost nothing. FILMD Plus (£11.99 a month, or £119 a year) adds FILMD Accreditation, new conversations with any member and entry to FILMD Grants.
What is FILMD Accreditation?
An evidence-based, role-specific review of your experience, credits and training. Accredited members carry the FILMD badge on their profile and stand out in search. It's part of FILMD Plus.
Can I message anyone on FILMD?
