Yes. Your profile includes your NLE expertise, so productions searching for editors with specific software skills can find you directly.
How do productions find editors on FILMD?
They search the members map by department, location, and software. If you're listed as an editor in their region, you appear in their results.
Is FILMD only for film editors?
No. FILMD serves editors working across film, television, documentary, commercial, and digital content.
What does accreditation mean for editors?
Accreditation is FILMD's way of recognising you've reached a professional standard. It's a holistic assessment, not just credits, but capability and conduct. Accredited members carry the badge and stand out in search.
Is there a cost?
Joining is free: your profile, the jobs board and replies to anyone who messages you cost nothing. FILMD Plus (£11.99 a month, or £119 a year) adds FILMD Accreditation, new conversations with any member and entry to FILMD Grants.
Can I message anyone on FILMD?
You can reply to anyone who messages you for free. Starting a new conversation with any member needs FILMD Plus. No mutual connections are needed either way.
